Join us in a beautiful bush setting where we will spend the public holiday connecting to Country and enjoying a shared lunch while we plan ahead to make Green Mountain Community School a reality in our region. You’ll come away feeling energised about the project, and understanding how you could be part of what’s next in 2023.
You’ll be generously hosted and professionally facilitated by the current team behind GMCS in a gorgeous bush setting in Berry where we will explore what is possible when we connect as a community working towards the next steps in growing our school?

You’re a parent who would love to send your kids to a holistic and nature-based school in the Shoalhaven region (Nowra-Berry). We especially want to meet our founding parents who envisage a different type of educational experience for their families!
You’re a passionate educator who would love to help design and contribute to a school that offers child-led, holistic and nature-based pedagogies.
You are an interested community member who believes our region (and our kids) needs access to alternative schooling and you want to help make it happen!
At this event, you will:
Meet the team behind GMCS as well as other like-minded people
Participate in a reconciliatory act to honour the public holiday by connecting to Country with a bush meditation
Understand the intention, philosophy and work done to date to get GMCS initiative to where it is today
Have the opportunity to contribute your voice to the vision and the 2023 focus actions of our future school
Enjoy a shared lunch
Here’s what you need to know:
This event is F R E E to all attendees
The address will be provided after you register your attendance
We will co-create our shared lunch, please bring along a plate of something delicious to contribute
There is an option to stay and participate in an 'Action Planning' session from 1pm-3pm. You can indicate your attendance when submitting your RSVP.
Young people are welcome to come and join the conversation and contribute to the gathering, they would require close supervision onsite and no child-specific activities are planned for this event… we have some more family-oriented events coming up!
